Wow – what encouragement from Boston’s Pru Center! Not Done. My novel is not done. The first chapter isn’t even done. It’s undergoing rewrite, after rewrite, after rewrite. I received some great “sanding” feedback from my course peers last week along with the feedback I’ve been waiting for from my brother, Mark. The English major, the journalist, the writer of our family’s generation. Thank you, Mark.
So, this afternoon, before my brain and emotions are completely fried, I spent time reworking the opening of my story. The first six pages now have more action, more character reflection and description, less history text book passages. It’s getting there, but it’s not done. One more week before I have to submit a final product for the end of my class.
I’m looking forward to getting this part of my journey done. But, tonight I’ll be devoting my time to another one of my passions.
NOT DONE!!!! GO PATRIOTS!!! BLITZ for SIX!!!!!
