WHAT THE WIND KNOWS

Amy Harmon
1918-1920 Ireland, 411 pages

What the Wind Knows marks the successful balance between teaching about the Irish uprisings of 1919-1922 and encouraging the reader to learn more about the events and the leaders, including Michael Collins. Generally, I am not a fan of time travel, but Harmon’s story of Anne Gallagher’s to intersect with her ancestors is a delightful blend of romance, conflict, and discovering untold truths. Reminiscent of Outlander by Diane Gabaldon.
