I'd be happy to wrap and mail a special "PATH" book set to help you with shipping timeframes.

For a special woman in your life who enjoys strong female protagonists whose stories have remained in the shadows of history - buy both books and I'll include a lavender sachet and cameo pin. If you've read both books, you'll know the significance of each item.

For a woman in medicine, honor her work and long hours with copies of both books and a Starbuck's $5 gift card. What woman in medicine doesn't need a cup of coffee during their busy days?

Individual signed copies are available, too.

To place an order, contact me through my contact form, or directly at janis@janisrdaly.com.

Orders should be placed by December 9th to insure delivery before the holidays.

At my book club's December meeting we pick a shorter, lighter read to make sure we have time for our Annual Yankee Swap. Generally, we place a $10 - $15 limit on the items. These ideas make great stocking stuffers for book lovers, too.

A few require crafty skills (ornament and bookmark) while others can jump-start a year-long TBR pile.

Books packaged with relevant, complementary items are always fun to open. I highly recommend these titles by award-winning, best-selling, lesser-known indie authors whom I'm pleased to support: Ashley E. Sweeney, Gail Ward Olmsted, and Joan M. Griffin. Each title features strong, determined women - both the fiction and non-fiction selections. The authors' writing and the stories told are a gift to all readers.

I chose WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE as a Children's book for two reasons. One, it was a favorite of my sons and a favorite for me to read aloud to them as we gnashed our teeth and roared our terrible roar to encourage their imagination. Two, when I found the accompanying baby pajamas with the crown while shopping for my new grandson, I knew this one had to be the pick for 2024.

For Middle School (ages 9-14), UP SO FLOATING by Maureen Hourihan will resonate not only with that age group, but for Baby Boomers who want to take a walk down nostalgia lane to the early 1960s, especially if they attended Catholic school. Make sure you nosh on some Snoballs while reading. Pair with a fun craft activity for an inter-generational day of reading and kite-flying.

Introduce a YA reader to the idea of found family and eternal hope with CHASING ELEANOR by Kerry Chaput. Continue an education of the Depression years and the influence of Eleanor Roosevelt with a copy of IT'S UP TO THE WOMEN

I'd love to hear from you if you decide to pick up one of my suggestions, or if you have any creative ideas to share for bookish gifts.
